Wireless social portal LinkedIn is now offering users the ability to send emails from their smartphone to other people using the social network.
The new feature allows users to send their replies in real-time to their contacts.
The feature was added in a new update for the LinkedIn app on iOS and Android on Wednesday.
“Our aim is to create a unified experience across all platforms that are increasingly connected to each other and connected to other platforms through social networking,” said LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner in a blog post.
The company is also working on a new feature that will allow users to share pictures of themselves and others on LinkedIn.
Other features include an option for users to upload photos and videos from a connected device to the site, which can then be shared by other users.
“We believe this is the right time to bring this feature to LinkedIn,” Weiner said.
